Product vs Service vs Solution
A product refers to an item or a good that can be purchased and used by a consumer. This is different from a service which typically refers to a business serving as a resource to help and support clients in a certain area. A solution is an offering that aims to solve a common or specific problem with the application of a product that is tailored to individual clients.
Examples:
Product: Software purchased and used by a consumer
Consumer Goods Service: transportation, cleaning, traveling, hospitality, maintenance or consulting
Solution: an app to help retailers use their POS system to manage loyalty programs, discount campaigns, gift card sales and other common functions, all in one simple system.
