GDPR
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) refers to the legal framework that sets guidelines for the collection and processing of personal information from individuals who live in the European Union (EU). It mandates EU users must be notified of any data the site collects from them and users must consent to such information-gathering. The website must also notify users in a timely matter if any of their data is breached. The regulation applies to any website regardless of where it is based. This means all websites that attract European visitors must follow the regulations.
